How Mass Hypnosis and Memetic Warfare Manufactured a “Pandemic”

“Never attempt to win by force what can be won by deception.” – Niccolò Machiavelli

“The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.” – Adolf Hitler

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” – H. L. Mencken

What explains the strange phenomenon of highly educated, intelligent people suddenly turning off their brains and blindly taking a vaccine (experimental gene-based technology, really). What explains those people who fret about every ingredient in their food who then accept an experimental injection while having no idea of the ingredients? What explains the feminists who protest “My Body, My Choice” with respect to abortions reversing course when it comes to vaccine mandates? What explains people’s persistence in following the “science” that is debunked day in and day out? What explains the story of a woman who quarantined herself in an airplane bathroom for three hours because of a positive Covid test?1

Mass Formation

Belgian professor Dr. Mattias Desmet has a good answer to these questions: “mass formation.” Mass formation is a technical term from psychology. You can think of it as mass hypnosis or mass psychosis. “The real reason that people buy into the story, even if it is utterly absurd, is not because they believe in the narrative, it’s because the narrative leads to the new social bond,”2 says Desmet.

To summarize Desmet’s explanation of our current nightmare, there are four conditions that lead to mass hypnosis:

  1. A socially isolated population with few social bonds 3
  2. People experiencing a lack of ‘sense making’ e.g from a media that makes it difficult to discern reality.
  3. An environment with free-floating anxiety having no focal point making it hard to know how to deal with it.
  4. A population experiencing a lack of meaning or purpose in their lives.

Many people lead fast-paced lives focused on money or a culturally defined idea of success rather than on more meaningful pursuits. There is increasing divisiveness in our society based on skin color, political views, gender, etc. The media environment makes it difficult to know what the truth is. The media has been used like never before to create anxiety by focusing incessantly on Covid and its ostensible danger. (Bill Gates has given over $300 million to media companies and Pharma is the largest advertiser on TV). Early on, there were images of empty streets in major cities, predictions of millions of dead people in the United States alone. The media concentrates on the death count and most of the news is about Covid.

The fear induced by such fear-mongering creates anxiety and panic that prevents people from thinking clearly. The fear and panic makes people desperate for a solution and they become more suggestible. It’s all a perfect set-up for mass formation. You can fool some of the people some of the time … but when you fool most of the people most of the time it’s probably a result of mass formation psychosis.

Digital and Memetic Warfare

You may remember there were certain phrases that were repeated: “stay safe”; “two weeks to stop the spread”; “my mask protects you and your mask protects me”; “follow the science”; and “the vaccine is safe and effective”. Such statements are crafted to be simple and highly “transmissible” (e.g. through social media) and are called memes. These memes are the real virus as people copy and spread them widely.

The meme “We’re all in this together” is probably the smarmiest of them all. I would decode it to mean: “Comply and follow the crowd.” The meme “the new normal” could be translated to “we’ve changed the rules of the game and you’d better get used to it.”

It’s becoming increasingly clear that modern-day warfare doesn’t rely only upon guns and bombs, but, rather, upon digital technology that has the power to spread memes, manipulate search results (e.g. “shadow banning,” a form of censoring); and de-platform those who are a danger to the establishment narrative.

Google altered search results related to the viral interview of medical doctor and infectious-disease researcher Robert Malone on Joe Rogan’s podcast. It was a long interview in which Malone mentioned and explained mass formation. I googled “Robert Malone on Joe Rogan podcast” and Google pointed me to an article claiming ‘No academic credibility’: Experts debunk mass psychosis Covid theory floated by doctor on Joe Rogan podcast 4

But Malone invented mRNA technology and has been a vaccine and drug industry insider for a long time. Furthermore, Malone spent a small portion of the interview discussing mass formation, so why would Google focus on that? Until he became a pariah, Malone was thought to be a future Nobel prize winner. Desmet, a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, who was mentioned by Malone, simply explained mass formation, a theory taken seriously in psychology, a field related to Desmet’s expertise. So, without doubt, Google, and the article’s author, are wrong about the claim of no academic credibility.

The conclusion of a paper entitled MEMETICS—A GROWTH INDUSTRY IN US MILITARY OPERATIONS 5 makes it clear that the new battlefield is the human mind:

“Cognitive scientists, cultural anthropologists, behavior scientists, and game
theory experts must be included as professional meme-wielding-gunfighters on future battlefields. The US must recognize the growing need for emerging disciplines in ideological warfare by ‘weaponeering’ memes. The Meme Warfare Center offers sophisticated and intellectually rich capability absent in current IO, PsyOps and SC formations and is specifically designed to conduct combat inside the mind of the enemy. Memes are key emerging tools to win the ideological metaphysical fight.”

Engineering a Pandemic

Yale Professor of Epidemiology Dr. Harvey Risch 5, sums up the situation well without the need of theories like mass formation and memetic warfare. He describes Covid as a pandemic of fear, manufactured by authorities: “Overall, I’d say that we’ve had a pandemic of fear. And fear has affected almost everybody, whereas the infection has affected relatively few,” said Risch.

“By and large, it’s been a very selective pandemic, and predictable. It was very distinguished between young versus old, healthy versus chronic disease people. So we quickly learned who was at risk for the pandemic and who wasn’t,” he added. “However, the fear was manufactured for everybody. And that’s what’s characterized the whole pandemic is that degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”

The WHO changed their definition of “pandemic” in 20097 making the criteria to declare a pandemic strangely easy to meet. The Rockefeller Foundation published a document in 2010, ostensibly to describe future scenarios, including one called Lock-Step8 in which draconian measures are used in response to a pandemic. That scenario seems eerily similar to what we lived through in 2020 to the extent that it seems to be more like a blueprint than a scenario.

Conclusion

“This is full-on media warfare, information warfare, political warfare of the 21st century like we have never seen before, coordinated globally,” 9 says Dr. Malone. The realization that we are at war, albeit an ideological and financial one, can be discomforting, to say the least. However, Malone reminds us that there is a great deal of reason for hope. He says he, himself, has been “multi-dimensionally red-pilled.” “Red-pilling” is a reference to the movie The Matrix. When the protagonist takes the red pill he can see reality more clearly and realizes the world he had taken to be real was just an illusion.

More and more people are being red-pilled everyday because of the incompetence of the people behind the scheme; because of the nonsensical “science” that they promote; because of the stubborn refusal to allow policy to reflect reality; because of the utter lack of concern for those suffering from their intransigent policies; etc. When enough people are red-pilled, the tide will turn. Perhaps a better metaphor is that David will vanquish Goliath.
