I just googled “Why don’t the Amish want to get vaccinated?” and the number one search result is an article in The Atlantic Anti-Vaxxers Are Idolizing the Amish, Inexplicably. Rather than finding a document that related to my search, Google delivered a search result that refuted what I was searching for!
Also in the first page of results, is the article Lancaster County’s Amish and Mennonites pose challenge for health officials fighting COVID-19. Again, Google delivered a search result that was in essence the opposite of what I was searching for. This is like going into a shoe store, asking the salesperson for an inexpensive pair of sneakers for dirty yard work, and, instead, they show you Jimmy Choo bridal pumps embellished with crystals and ostrich feathers, suitable for a Parisian runway show.
You’re a smart person. Don’t you deserve both sides of the story? Can’t you decide, once you hear the Amish position for yourself, whether it makes sense to you? Yes? Well, collected below are dozens of vaccine-related articles and videos covering topics you won’t see on YouTube or read in The New York Times, or easily find by searching with Google. Some of them may be nonsense, but, you get to decide, not Google!
