A 10 p.m. curfew! For the flu?! Thank the Lord that our beloved (California) Governor Newsom cares so much about our health that he has made the difficult decision to take even more of our liberties away to protect our health (while he and friends and colleagues dine in style and ignore his own health directives.). “Laws for thee, but not for me,” is how Newsom acts. Another California politician, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, received an essential blow and dry without a mask, also violating health directives in place at the time. Tyrants!

When George W. Bush was elected (selected?) twenty years ago Gore Vidal declared, “Tyranny is now firmly in the saddle.” He was wrong. Tyranny was merely taking the horse out of the barn. Now, though, tyranny is indeed riding on its high horse. Fortunately, Newsom and his fellow tyrants are in for a bumpy ride … so bumpy that they are bound to fall hard.
Newsom has no authority to impose a curfew. Actually, a judge had already placed an injunction against him to prevent him from making further executive orders, such as a curfew. But, of course, being a tyrant, he ignored the orders. Now, after the US Supreme Court rebuked New York Governor Cuomo for restrictions on houses of worship, Newsom isn’t budging on the issue in California.
That injunction was just a drop in the ocean compared to the blowback that is brewing against tyranny, as you’ll see in the links below. In the words of Gil Scott-Heron “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” but it is happening behind the scenes and is growing all the time.
