For over a year our leaders have told us to “follow the science.” They don’t mean for us to follow the science. They mean for us to “follow their plan.” What plan is that? The plan to submit to their power by wearing masks, social distancing, closing businesses, etc.
We are not seeing science. We’re seeing an inversion of the scientific method. The scientific method – observe, hypothesize, experiment and analyze – apparently no longer applies. In its place we have seen the Unscientific Method – declare a new scientific truth, deny any contradictory evidence, and censor or impugn those who disagree – take over.
The Unscientific Method has been used very deliberately to terrorize the world with regard to a supposed new virus, SARS-Cov-2, and a supposed new disease, Covid. First, Neil Ferguson declared that 2.2 million people could die in the US. (Subsequent to the announcement, while the UK was on lockdown and Ferguson had tested positive, he had relations with his married girlfriend which would have put her and her husband at risk of getting Covid. So, either he was monstrously irresponsible for exposing them, or, he knew there was no danger to them). Then, the Corman-Drosten paper paved the way for fraudulent testing (using the PCR test to confirm the existence of a virus, though the authors admitted they had no samples of the virus). The WHO directed agencies around the world to “test, test, test.” Finally, the media went into high gear to scare people about the (actually meaningless) “cases.” There was no real science involved in any step along the way.
The Unscientific Method is not new. It was employed when Robert Gallo announced that he had discovered HIV and that it was the cause of AIDS. There is no proof that HIV is the cause of AIDS and Gallo’s announcement is best described as “science by press conference.”
But, even if there were no disagreements with regard to the science, and the existence of a new virus and a new disease had been confirmed, the policy of quarantining, closing businesses, masking and social distancing was another matter entirely! As Mises said, science (when properly utilized) can establish what is, but not what ought to follow as a result. Reasonable people can have differing opinions as to policy. But, again, we are implored to follow the science that supposedly exists with regards to lockdown policies, despite the fact that the limited science that exists points against lockdown policy. According to the Great Barrington Declaration “current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health.” As of April 2021, 14,000 health scientists and 42,000 medical professionals have signed the declaration. If science is to be our guiding principle shouldn’t so many thousands of voices prevail over a few government officials?
Long before the Great Barrington Declaration, in a March 17, 2020 article, Stanford scientist John Ioannidis warned the world was looking at what could turn out to be a “once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.” He worried central planners were making sweeping and reflexive changes without sufficient data. Locking people up without knowing the fatality risk of COVID-19 could have severe social and financial consequences that could be totally irrational, Ioannidis warned. “It’s like an elephant being attacked by a house cat. Frustrated and trying to avoid the cat, the elephant accidentally jumps off a cliff and dies,” said Ioannidis, one of the most-cited scientists in the world.
So, who is responsible for releasing the cat? Dr. Fauci is a prime culprit. He published an article in March 2020 saying that, “this suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza.” Despite comparing the risk of Covid to the flu, he has been the primary purveyor of Covid fear and lockdown mania. The WHO is another culprit. The WHO not only directed countries around the world to “test, test, test” but they also rigged the testing by recommending a high cycle threshold of 45 which ensured a ridiculously inflated number of cases. The Corman-Drosten paper claimed to develop a test for Covid despite having no samples of the virus for which the test was developed! That is the Unscientific Method par excellence! Finally, the media is also responsible. In an undercover video clip from Project Veritas, CNN’s Charlie Chester, admits “Covid? Gangbusters with ratings. Which is why we constantly have the death toll on the side.”
Edward Bernays laid out the over-arching strategy a century ago:
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”
So, what is the solution to Covid hysteria? Let’s consciously not allow our leaders to manipulate us and let’s not submit to their plans. Many are already doing just that. Join the growing crowd and help us to prevent the chaos our leaders have planned for us.
